Google custom search is the new product from Google. It helps webmaster to create their own custom search engine to search only the sites they want.

The Google is combined with Ad-sense, which means make money while keeping users on your site for longer time by the use of custom search engine.

Facebook to compete with eBay:

Facebook application called Garage Sale has been announced by splash tonight.

Garage Sale is the new application where the users can sell things directly to others via their Facebook profile. There will be a commission of 5% on sales by buy.com. Some arguments that closed network is better way to sell items because people view the listing know you and trust you and they feel they will be satisfied with the product.

With Garage sale sellers wont have large buyers only their friends can view the sale listing. In eBay, a quick search and they can buy an item. Buyers will only buy from a friend if they happen to catch site of an item in a friends new feed that they were already looking for that product.

EA dropping online support for older games:

EA will discontinue online old sports games, including 2006 games from September 1. PS2, Xbox 360, PSP and other PC games will be affected.

Lenovo plans to sell ultra cheap computers:

Lenovo is planning to sell cheap computers as low as $199 in China's rural market. The low cost PC includes keyboard, mouse and operation system. They wont provide a monitor so the buyers should plug-in their television to set as a monitor. Dell was the first company to sell low cost computers ranging from $223-$515. Lenovo's low cost computer is cheaper comparing to Dell's offer.

To fight piracy in China, Microsoft has recently dropped their prices for many versions of Windows Vista. Since Linux performs better than Windows on low end hardware, Lenovo or Dell may Linux as an operating system.

Some months back, there were some rumors that Google is working with Samsung to design a Google-phone. The Google said no to any such developments. Now there is another rumor that Google has designed a working prototype of a mobile hand set which would drag Google services and Google search to the mobile community.

Google phone is supposed to be available in a year.It is also believed that Google is also offering free subscription by placing ads in the phone, web browser and other application.

Apple has filed a patent for an anti-theft feature which could make stolen i-products useless or thief's can use those i-products as paper weight.

The patent describes technology which only allows ipod or portable mac to draw power from a nominated power adapter. This technology will detect the devise if they are connected to unauthorized recharging mechanism. When unauthorized charging is detected, the devise will refuse to recharge. From this thief's are unable to charge to use it.

This would result in the reduction of the crimes against the lawful owners of such devices.
